Automated Crop Reporting-Less Paperwork-More Accurate

At crucial planting and harvest times, you have better things to do than spend hours on reports. That’s where Automated Crop Reporting technology comes in. By using data from your precision farming equipment, your agent is now able to help make your acreage and crop production reporting faster, easier and more complete.

Automated Crop Reporting allows producers using GPS-based field documentation systems, such as the GreenStar precision system, along with farm management software, such as Apex™, to easily submit acreage and production reporting to your Minn-Iowa agent. This streamlines the process of communicating to government agencies, saving you time and hassle.
How Automated Crop Reporting Works With You And Your Agent
1. Once the GreenStar system is set up, you document planting and harvest    activity.
2. You upload planting and harvest data from GreenStar to Apex using a data card.
3. Once uploaded, you use GSDNet — an Internet gateway that transfers information to and from Apex — to send the information directly to your John Deere crop insurance agent.
4. The agent prepares acreage and production reports for your review and electronic signature. The agent also can provide map-based reports that can reduce time and effort required to certify acres with the Farm Service Agency.
